Rothenburg25 After WWII, the people of Rothenberg had to repair war damage. But with the German economy in shambles, they didn't have the necessary funds. However, they did have two things: a historical, medieval town and a good idea. For a price, anyone from around the world could "buy" one meter of the old town wall. In return, a plaque commemorating the donor would be incorporated into the reconstructed wall.
