Gregorius was a 10th century Croatian priest who convinced the Vatican to allow Mass to be read in Croatian rather than Latin. It was designed by Croatia's greatest 20th-century sculptor Ivan Mestrovic who also did the Indian sculptures in Chicago's Grant Park.
