The Glass Dome and Chandelier in the Royal Salon.

The metal framework of the glass dome was made in the workshops of Gustave Eiffel and supports magnificent stained glass windows.

The chandelier is over 15 feet tall and composed of 16,800 pieces of Baccarat crystal. Ordered by the Tsar of Russia at the end of the 19th century, two identical chandeliers were made by the House of Baccarat. One was delivered to the Tsar and can still be admired today in the Kremlin. The second, which was never delivered because of the Russian Revolution, remained in France and subsequently acquired by the Hotel Negressco.
