Hohenschwangau Castle

The castle of Crown Prince Maximilian of Bavaria and the childhood home of Ludwig II.

Notice the swan statue on the roof. It was the heraldic animal of the Counts of Schwangau.

Hohenschwangau means "swan on a cliff".
