Rhine16 Burg Katz (Katzenelnbogen) is the "cat" castle. It was built in 1371 and conquered a number of times; most notably in 1806 when Napoleon's army nearly obliterated it. Together with the Rheinfelds Castle, it controlled a major section of the Rhine River.
