The ancestral Home of the Chief of Clan MacLean. As the MacLeans supported Prince Charlie during the Rising of 1745, the castle was forfeited to the government and not returned to the chiefs of the MacLeans until 1911, when purchased by Sir Fitzroy Maclean. The current owner is Lackland MacLean.
