Nine reliefs of water nymphs and putti from the Fontaine des Innocents, carved in stone by Jean Goujon (b. about 1510, d. about 1568) about 1547-49. Originally placed against a wall, the fountain was moved in 1787 into the Marché des Innocents. The original panels are now in the Musée du Louvre.

The statue in the right-foreground is the Three Graces, in marble, from the monument by Germain Pilon (b. about 1526, d. 1590) for the heart of Henry II; 1560-63.
