angel_of_north Angel of the North (link2) (link3) Sometimes called the "Eyesore of the North". This was also a shot I had in mind before arriving in Britain. Unfortunately, there was no place to make a convenient road-side stop to get close to this statue. So I had to settle for a picture at 80 Km. Nevertheless, I'd called "shotgun" that morning getting on the bus and sat in the front row (my normal preference is the last row) just to get this shot.
