budapest68 House of Terror This was the infamous building where political prisoners were taken, tortured and executed under both the Nazi and Communist regimes. Unfortunately, photography wasn't allowed. Otherwise, I'd have photographed the Soviet T-72 tank on the ground floor of the atrium facing a 3-story wall covered with the photos of victims. The barren cells, with rods, clubs and maces hanging on the wall, where beatings obviously happened (you could imagine the screams). The single 10'x4"x4" post, with a metal ring on top, through which was strung rope used to hang prisoners. And many other sad images.
